Itinerary:

We will bring you to County Wicklow, travelling through the South of Dublin. The mountains in Wicklow are also known as the garden of Ireland due to the colourful shades produced by the natural landscape.
As soon as we leave the city behind, you will forget about the hustle and bustle of civilization and become immersed in the Irish countryside. The main inhabitants of this mountain terrain are the sheep and the cattle. Streams flow beside most of the roads. The air is said to be so fresh, that many locals surpass the age of 100.
Our first stop is Powerscourt estate, where you will have time to visit the Palladian House and take a casual walk around the magnificently designed Italian and Japanese gardens with breathtaking scenery where you can take in such obscure sights as a Pet Cemetary.
From here we will go on to visit the Valley of Glendalough that nests the monastic site dating from the 6th century. We will visit its ruined churches, the famous round tower and crosses - reminders of another time where settlements such as this were the cultural centres of Irish society, before it was plundered by the Vikings among other invaders.
We will have time to enjoy an invigorating walk following in the footsteps of St. Kevin, around the picturesque lakes that were formed by the melting glaciers of the last ice age.
We can arrange an optional three course lunch before returning to Dublin.

- Departing from the Gresham Hotel at O’Connell Street at 9:30 and from Merrion Square at 9:40
- Time: from 9:30 to approx. 17:00 on even days.
- Finishing at Nassau Street beside Trinity College.
