On this excursion we will take you to the north coast of Dublin bay.
We will start by visiting the neoclassic Marino Casino, then onto Malahide castle which was build in the 11th century and restored during the Georgian period. The castle belonged to the Talbot family for over 800 years.
We will continue to explore the coast by passing the villages of Malahide and the bird sanctuary of Portmanock. Here you might be able to spot some unique and protected bird species.
Next stop is at the highest point of Howth peninsula also known as the Summit. The breath taking view extends to most of Dublin Bay and as far as the Wicklow mountains.
We will take the 50 minute cliff walk down to the village enjoying the sea breeze, and those who are not up for it can take the coach to Howth village.
Time will be assigned to stroll around the village to see the pier, marina and fishermen´s boats. You will soon discover why it is so trendy among Dubliners to go there to enjoy the sea.
We will show you where to spot seals swimming in their natural habitat with the option of feeding them. On our way back, we pass by Howth Castle and take in the serene views of Dublin Bay. An optional three course lunch can be arranged before returning to Dublin.
