Our tour starts next to the Spire on O Connell Street, which was the scene of the 1916 rising where the Irish fought to win independence from the British outside the General Post Office (GPO).
We will cross the river Liffey, where the Vikings arrived in the 8th century, at the photogenic pedestrian Half Bridge.
We will explore the cobblestone streets of Temple bar and from there we will move on to see the famous cathedrals of Christ Church and Saint Patrick.
From there we will go to Dublin Castle, mostly rebuild in the Georgian period.
We will finish in the grounds of Trinity College, home to the oldest manuscripts and books of Ireland, such as the Book of Kells.
